The Sharps were both born in England in 1848 - George in Offley, Hertfordshire on November 26 to George and Ann Brown Sharp, Elizabeth  in South Cerney, Cotswold, Gloucestershire, England on May 4 to Elizabeth Saunders.  They were married December 31, 1871 in St. Nicholas, Deptford, Greenwich, England.  They came to America in 1868 or 1878 and were living in West Jordan, Utah at the 1880 census with their son, William George.  Their son died in 1882 and a few years later they adopted a girl they named Maude Murn.

At the 1910 census, they were living in Highland (outside incorporated American Fork) in the neighborhood with Anders Pherson, Neils Neilson and James F. Pulley.  In 1920, their neighbors were Peter and Margaret Beck and Ernest and Hazel Hunter.

Elizabeth died April 20, 1917 in American Fork, and William died February 9, 1929 in the Provo infirmary.  They are buried in the American Fork City Cemetery.
