Abraham was born January 30, 1860 in Brooklyn, New York to Moses Martin Nunes Martines and Elizabeth Nathan.  Marchia was born March 27, 1863 (per death certificate or March 25, 1865 per headstone) to John and Ann Pinfold Whiting (q.v.).  Her father gave property and helped build homes on Highland for her, her sister Sarah Marvin and her two brothers, Brigham and William.  It is unknown what brought Abraham to Utah but he and Marchia were married August 17 1881, and lived most of their lives in Salt Lake City.  The had ten children: Edith, Abraham John, Virlie M., Denton S., Loren H., Alta L., Cora M., Zylphia Eva, Melba Jessie and Kermit Harry.   Marchia died October 12, 1912 in Salt Lake City when her youngest child was eight.  Abraham was part of of the 1870's water lawsuit argued by Attorney George Sutherland.  He died September 12, 1930 in Salt Lake City and they are both buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
