The Beautification Committee is made up of volunteers who want to make Highland City beautiful. They are involved with the community garden, yard of the month recognition, and adopt-a-patch recognition, as well as, flowers at the cemetery and community center.

We’d also like to recognize our Highland City Mayor, City Council Members, Youth City Council, Youth Service Committee, and City Staff for their efforts

The initial mission statement of the society is, "To preserve and [share] the past of Highland City for a better present and future." The Historical Society has put together a comprehensive written history of the city.  In addition to the written history, the Historical Society has a small museum in the Highland Community Center, 5378 West 10400 North. The museum displays a collection of historical artifacts, such as, household items, and small tools.

The Library Board oversees the operations of the library. 

The Library Board meets monthly to discuss current issues facing the Library.  Library Board meetings are open to the public and minutes from the meetings are posted in the Agenda Center.
