For some time, the Highland City Council has been looking into the possibility of selling some park land and using the proceeds to begin to develop the park next to Mountain Ridge Junior High School.
The current concept is for the park to be built in phases. Phase 1 includes a 27-court national tournament level pickleball complex, a parking lot, and restrooms with the goal of completion of August 1, 2019. The Highland City Foundation is actively recruiting donations for the pickleball courts.
