Due to the myriad of construction projects happening throughout the City, some of our road projects will carry on into the early school year. Currently 6150 W and 10830 N are closed and will remain closed for the next couple of weeks.
We are aware that this closure will impact getting children to and from Highland Elementary, so the City has tried its best to provide alternate routes. The quickest detour will be to use the street 10890 N and follow the roads that go through the cemetery to continue to the elementary school. Children can walk on the sidewalks of the closed roads. Vehicles dropping off children will not be allowed.
As a part of the project, the drop-off/pickup area west of the school along 6150 West will be improved.
